We had the pleasure of hosting a group of energetic secondary four students and a teacher from Raffles Institution as part of their community trail. It was wonderful sharing with them about the fascinating world of keys, security, and entrepreneurship.
One of the highlights was “The Intrigue of Keys” quiz — where students had to examine five duplicated keys alongside the original and guess which one could open an ABUS padlock.
Answer: All of them!
🔍👀 Even though the keys looked different on the surface (different finishing styles), all of them could open the lock because the critical cutting – the spaces and depths – were done correctly!
It was a fun way to show that in key duplication, what’s inside matters more than how it looks outside — a little lesson on both locksmithing and life. 😉
We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our passion with the next generation. Thank you Raffles Institution for visiting, and we hope the students left with new insights and inspiration!
